1、使用維護的目的，在于延長閥門壽命和保障啟閉可靠。

2、閥桿螺紋，經常與閥桿螺母摩擦，要涂一點黃干油、二硫化鉬或石墨粉，起潤滑作用

3、不經常啟閉的閥門，也要定期轉動手輪，對閥桿螺紋添加潤滑劑，以防咬住。

4、室外閥門，要對閥桿加保護套，以防雨、雪、塵土銹污。

9、閥桿，特別是螺紋部分，要經常擦拭，對已經被塵土弄臟的潤滑劑要換成新的，因為塵土中含有硬雜物，容易磨損螺紋和閥桿表面，影響使用壽命。
